Hello!
My name is Svetlana. I am from Russia. At the moment I am living in Brazil.
I am keen on lots of things! First of all, I absolutely love languages! My favourite ones are Russian, English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian
So I have been learning languages since I was a kid and I am pretty sure I will be learning them all my life!
My other passions are dancing, yoga and meditation. These things really inspire me and give me great vibes!
I am a big fan of Latin America that's why I am learning about countries of that part of the world and Latin American Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese.
And of course I love travelling and meeting people all around the globe, exchanging languages!
My first teaching experience was long time ago, when I was a substitute teacher of martial arts. That time I really enjoyed teaching so I decided to learn how to teach languages since I have always liked them. So I got a degree in Linguistics, afterwards I got some certificates in Teaching approach (including world famous CELTA). That time my foreign friends asked me to help them with their Russian and that was how my "Russian Teaching Path" started =)
I have 5 years of teaching experience. I have been teaching small/large groups, one-to-one classes and via Skype. Moreover I have experience in teaching groups of international students in Ireland.
Every course starts with a small talk where I find out what interests my students, why they are studying the language and what exactly they are read...

The best teacher I have interacted with. Svetlana is very clear, concise, and thorough. The most impressive thing about her teaching style is how well she can adjust her complexity to meet my abilities. Truly the best teacher.

My great luck to meet Svetlana. No more boring lessons, no more boring textbooks. Svetlana is a very sociable person, she will always find something new, even if you were sure that you know the language pretty good (not about me, but it is😊)

Спасибо большое за занятия! Мне очень нравятся наши уроки — они всегда интересные и полезные. Я стала чувствовать себя увереннее в английском, и это во многом благодаря вашему терпению и поддержке.

I'm having the best time learning Russian with Svetlana! She's really listened to what my goals are and is building a lesson around that, but I also just have so much fun. I spend the whole lesson laughing and always look forward to the next one!

Svetlana is very patient and good-humored. She explains things clearly with examples and goes beyond that by introducing Russian culture and everyday language usage. She also makes connections with other languages and with words in Russian to help explain more complex topics. I feel very lucky to have her as a teacher.
