I am a physician by training, but I am no longer a practicing medical professional. Nowadays, I am mainly focused on teaching and training various subjects including Thai language for intermediate and advanced learners. I have over 20 years of experience in general education including teaching students of all ages (young learners, teenagers and adults) and training teachers. I would love to learn more about your Thai language learning journey and understand your language learning goals, so that I can prepare learning materials that suit your goals the most. With well-designed lessons, I believe I can help you take your Thai to the next level!

A little bit about me: although I used to be a doctor, I spent the majority of my professional years as a trainer in the insurance business. I love learning new languages, and I routinely brush up on my English, Chinese and Hindi. I have developed a number of language learning techniques that I would love to share with you! Finally, I am interested in many subjects including psychology, science, meditation, history, politics and music. Let’s get to know each other by booking your first trial lesson with me

I will give you tips and tricks that will help you memorize new Thai words and tones easily. With these tips, you will be able to learn 10 or more new Thai words per class! My students will be able to speak Thai in their first class.

Wow! What a profitable and illuminating time with Dr. Yu - he’s a great listener and he really knows how to ask questions in such a way that prompts me to want to speak longer - and that’s my primary goal! So I’m happy to have had the opportunity to learn with him. He’s also extremely articulate and careful about helping me choose the exact words I need for the given topic. Today he helped me use the word จุดยืน - a word I should have known before now. But I’m glad he steered me in the right direction! Thanks Dr. Yu! :)
