Hello there! My name is Anniina, and I'm a native speaker of Finnish. I'm a qualified singing and piano teacher. I also love to teach Finnish!
I have been teaching Finnish in iTalki for two years and have thoroughly enjoyed the experience. It's great to meet people from all over the world and gain new insights on the Finnish language! I'm learning from my students all the time :)
Before teaching Finnish, I was teaching music for three years. I also have experience from doing opera and various other music projects. As a classically trained singer, I know how to sing in many different languages!
My other interests include nature, painting, yoga, knitting, and a nice cup of coffee.지도 경험
I believe that the most important part of language learning is speaking and communicating as much as possible. The more you do it, the more naturally you'll learn to express yourself in any language! Listening to native-level speech is also essential—especially the real, everyday language that people actually use. In Finnish, for instance, spoken language can be quite different from the formal version.
I'm an empathetic and patient teacher, and I can easily adjust my speaking pace and style to suit any level. My lessons are relaxed and supportive, creating a safe space for learning. I'm always happy to tailor the lessons to each student's individual needs. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I offer structured beginner lessons with clear topics (introductions, work, hobbies, etc.), useful vocabulary, and plenty of repetition. I also provide text materials and homework. For more advanced learners, conversation practice is key—once you're ready to express yourself more freely, I recommend booking a Conversation Practice lesson. I can also check and polish your written texts into natural, convincing Finnish. If you need help translating your CV or cover letter, get in touch!
