After not clicking with some other tutors, I had my first lesson with 晓晓老师 back in September 2024. I've had a 1hr lesson with her almost every week since. I let her know early on that I tend to find following textbooks rather boring. She was totally able to accommodate me. She creates a lovely bright learning atmosphere and you can tell she's really passionate about teaching. I always look forward to our lessons and don't feel intimidated or put down when she corrects my grammar/pronunciation. The review materials provided after each lessons are detailed and very much appreciated. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone wanting to learn Chinese whether they're a beginner or more advanced.

晓晓老师 is a very friendly, warm-hearted, energetic and accommodating teacher. She teaches according to her student's needs and requirements, while retaining her high teaching standard. 晓晓老师 adjusts her language to her student's level and paitiently explains unknown words. She provides high quality notes of the lesson for review and is willing to give feedback. I've already learned a lot and am very happy to have found her.

I hate iTalki's fixed choice for "what methods did your teacher use in the lesson." She had me read aloud from articles, ask questions about what I didn't understand, and helped me learn the different strokes for writing characters. This is exactly what I asked her to do, but it doesn't fit any of iTalki's stupid categories.

Thank you Xiaoxiao Laoshi for your energy! My 5 y/o boy enjoyed the class and said he liked the teacher. Didn't want to leave after 30 minutes. She did well to ask questions, not use English so as to immerse my child, and refocus my child whenever it was needed. Appreciated all the voice notes and review materials after the class. We will be coming back for more classes!

I feel a bit sorry for Xiaoxiao. I keep trying different lesson times and sometimes I'm not quite awake yet, most of the times I'm already sleepy and my brain isn't working quite right. She is very patient with me! No matter what we're talking about or reading about, we somehow always end up laughing a lot.
