Melike Kızıloluk

I had a very nice first lesson with Melike, we covered a lot of ground in just one hour.

Before taking up lessons with Melike, I was so shy about speaking Turkish. Though I had a broad base of vocabulary, my grammar was atrocious and I thought I’d never be able to start reading some of the books I bought in Turkey. And yet, with intense, but highly structured and enjoyable drilling of syntax and morphology, we have started incorporating speaking into the second half of our lessons, and I am already impressed with what topics we have covered: current affairs, sociopolitics, wildlife, and so on. Talking with Melike is a highly pleasant exercise in itself, as she combines a curious mind with a genuine care for what her students have to say. She also comes prepared with books and books’ worth of materials and was kind enough to adapt news items for me in order to practice some of the constructions we were reviewing. A superb teacher whose instruction will be highly regarded by any student - her supreme command of English allows for the utmost precision when relaying concepts!

I've been taking lessons with Melike for around a month. She's a very talented and knowlegeable teacher. She always comes prepared with the right material and exercises. I'd highly recommend her to anyone wishing to master the Turkish language.

I’ve been studying with Melike for a while now. I started at A2, and we’re currently working on B1 Turkish. I have a full-time job, so I don’t always have a lot of time to study, but she makes everything easy to follow and not overwhelming. She explains grammar really clearly and is always patient and encouraging. She pushes me to speak as much as possible, which has helped a lot. I’ve noticed a big improvement in my speaking, reading, and listening, and I feel much more confident using Turkish now.

Melike is a very patient and attentive tutor. She makes learning Turkish enjoyable and relaxed.
