Certified Russian Teacher | PhD in Philology | Clear & Friendly Lessons Привет! My name is Ekaterina. I’m a native Russian speaker and a certified professional teacher. I was born and raised in Russia and currently live in Spain, which helps me work effectively with international students. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Russian Philology, a Master’s degree in Digital Humanities, and a PhD in Philology with a specialization in Russian Literature. I am also trained in Teaching Russian as a Foreign Language (RFL). I enjoy reading, cinema, creative writing, and cats, but my greatest passion is teaching. I love helping students understand Russian in a clear, supportive, and engaging way, and I would be happy to help you reach your language goals. I have taught people of different ages and backgrounds, both at school and university levels. In addition, I have extensive experience teaching and researching Russian literature, and I often use literary texts as a tool for language learning. When creating the study plan, we’ll focus on your goals, interests, and level. I’ll choose materials that make our lessons dynamic, diverse, and truly effective. From the very first class, we’ll pay special attention to speaking practice and cultural insights — because it’s impossible to understand a language without understanding the culture reflected in it. I appreciate Ekaterina's patient and easygoing style. I've learned Russian a few years ago but have a lot of gaps in grammar and don't have enough regular practice. For today's class, we reviewed and worked on textbook exercises. Ekaterina also asked different questions to help me repeat and practice with focus on one specific grammatical case.
