Cyril does a wonderful job preparing for each lesson, pushing you out of your comfort zone through his lessons and homework, and balancing the lessons between formal coursework and teaching about French culture (in French, of course). Cyril is always prompt and prepared, and his classes always motivate you to keep learning more and more. Overall he’s just a really great person and teacher.

Cyril always does a superd job of facilitaing diverse areas of learning centered around conversational French. Vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation feature in nearly every topic that comes up. As a language teacher myself, I know it can be easy to let things slide. Cyril never does -- he is alert to the challenges facing students and knows how to help them reach their objectives. In addition, I appreciate the attention to detail he provides with his notes and meticulous lesson-planning.

I’ve been taking lessons with Cyril for more than six months now, my overall experience has been outstanding. Cyril is a highly skilled, reliable, patient and humorous teacher. His classes are well balanced, interesting, varied and relevant to the goals one wishes to achieve at all time. The classes focus not only on the grammatical elements of the French language but also on its evolution including street language and idioms. A further element that makes Cyril’s classes interesting and entertaining is the usage of various methods used to introduce you into the french culture, traditions and idiosyncrasies. Despite my stubborn desire to make the same mistakes in French over and over, Cyril has an equally stubborn way of reminding me not to make those mistakes. But he does it in such an easy-going way! His patience is commendable, and he never throws away opportunities to improve some aspect of your grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation. As our lessons have progressed, he has subtlely pushed me to expand my skills through utilizing new vocabulary in context and suggesting reading material.
