Yolotzin is an excellent teacher. She consistently guides our conversations toward topics that are interesting and meaningful to me, which makes the harder aspects of learning Spanish much more enjoyable. She has a great memory for small details in the conversation and always asks thoughtful follow-up questions that help reinforce the grammar concepts that challenge me the most. It can be intimidating to express oneself at length in a new language, but Yolotzin creates a supportive environment during our sessions together. Each lesson I have had with her has left me feeling more confident and better able to communicate. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to improve their Spanish while also having fun at the same time!

Yolotzin's lessons were focused around things I was interested in (which we discussed in our first meeting). She speaks in Spanish for the class which has helped me with listening. The classes vary in content style a bit, which keeps it interesting for me. We've done readings, role plays of dialogue, matching words with meanings, and listening exercises. I'm in a weird semi-intermediate spot and she asked a lot of good questions to help figure out what I needed to brush up on and what we should dive into to help me learn. Her homework assignments are fun and have a lot of creative writing so you can make it about whatever you want. We review it at the beginning of every class. She's been very proactive about asking if the amount was too much or too little. She always asks if I had any questions while doing our lessons or if I didn't understand anything and is good at explaining what it is.

I highly recommend Yolotzin as a Spanish teacher. I am traveling to Spain and wanted to learn some basic Spanish for the trip. She helped me prepare for common traveling situations and tailored each lesson to my specific travel plans. For example, I want to shop for clothing so she taught me related words and phrases I will need while in a store. She is very patient and friendly.

Yolotzin was patient and understanding, and the initial session made me want to schedule additional sessions with her.
