My name is Mayu. I am originally from Aichi prefecture. I have lived in the US, Canada and Australia, and I currently live in England with my partner.
I've completed a 420-hour long Japanese Language Teaching Competency Course.
I have experience teaching Japanese to students while living in Australia and England, and I have taught more than 3,000 online lessons so far.지도 경험
Japanese is a difficult language to learn, but let's do our best together while also having fun!
I take into consideration your strengths and weaknesses, and I like to work with students to decide which areas to focus on during lessons. I strive to make my lessons fun and engaging by creating a comfortable and supportive environment.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
⭐️ About my lessons ⭐️
1) I use my own materials based on a textbook (Minna no nihongo). I will share the materials during and after each lesson, so you don’t have to prepare any textbooks.
2) My lessons are designed for adult learners aged 18 and above. I currently do not offer lessons for children.
Important Notice: I also teach Japanese on other platforms, and I do my best to keep my schedule up to date. However, there may occasionally be scheduling conflicts. In such cases, I may kindly ask to reschedule your lesson. Thank you very much for your understanding.내 수업 자료

Today was our second lesson, and Mayu-sensei's supportive style helped me relax and speak more fluently. I still forgot a lot of grammar and vocabulary, but she was able to scaffold the conversation, allowing us to discuss several topics. 頑張り続けます。ありがとうございます

Mayu made me feel at ease when learning new vocabulary and she is more than willing to give further explanation when required. She is patient and calm which helps when you are trying to get pronunciation correct. 5*

Mayu-san explains grammar concepts very patiently, and has made slides so you will get the information visually too. Very helpful, and effective!

I haven't spoken Japanese for a long time and Mayu-sensei was patient and supportive as I searched for the vocabulary and grammar. She made suggestions to help me form my sentences and repeated back my phrases with some gentle corrections. I would like to keep learning to try to regain some fluency.
