Hi there! I'm Océane, a positive-minded and curious French woman with a passion for human beings, languages, and travel! I currently live in the beautiful landscapes of Finland, where I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in English. I also hold a French Master's degree of medical sciences and a TEFL certificate as an English tutor. What I love to do in my free time; I enjoy practicing yoga, laughing, exploring new places, dancing, having deep conversations with friends, and reading!💛 As a teacher, I understand the challenges of settling in a new country and the pressure of speaking another language on the spot, which is why I want to support English and French learners on their learning journey and help make the process easier and more enjoyable. ✨ I have been teaching French privately for a year now, and I am embarking on this new adventure of teaching English! I am patient, encouraging, and a fervent believer that the best way to learn is through mistakes; so don’t be shy, just give it a try! 🤗 I enjoy designing personalized lessons with diverse methods to keep classes engaging! Sessions can vary from informal, everyday conversations on topics that interest you to more specialized discussions in the healthcare field. We work mainly through guided conversation, using authentic materials and topics. From the perspective of someone whose English isn’t very good and who has only a bit of experience with French, I feel like French is kind of difficult for me. I’ve tried learning a little on my own, so I do have some basic understanding, but it still feels challenging. At the same time, when my teacher explains things, it doesn’t seem as hard. I still struggle with a lot of the pronunciation, but at least I can understand what he’s saying.
