According to rumors, Swedish can be kind of fun! My name is Filip and Swedish is my native language. I am interested in linguistics, history, literature, sports and arts. Having studied Russian at university, and currently learning Hungarian by myself (aiming to begin learning German and Polish), I understand how frustrating and at the same time rewarding language learning can be. Plus, learning a language gives us those sweet and unbearable bragging rights for life :) I have been teaching Swedish for more than two years and I would describe myself as a fun, engaging and supportive tutor. Having studied languages at university, I have a good understanding of what is important if you want to become confident in a language. I do believe that the approach to language learning is that it should be as fun, motivating and as supportive as possible. So, basically the opposite of my previous career as a recruiter :) My teaching style is quite diverse and is not only dependent on your fluency level or general grasp of the language, but also your goals, interests and preferences. Be it, communicative language teaching with a focus on grammar and vocabulary, or a direct method with a focus on around conversation. Your goals and preferences are naturally always what is the most important.

Filip is an excellent Swedish teacher: clear, patient, and genuinely encouraging. I had over 20 lessons with him the last year. His lessons are well structured but still relaxed, which makes it easier to speak and learn confidently. We worked a lot on reading comprehension and vocabulary, including challenging texts, and he helped me understand new words, spelling, and how Swedish compound words work. I truly appreciate his supportive attitude and the practical feedback throughout the lessons. Highly recommended!
