To earn the CTCSOL, candidates must meet the following criteria:

Language Proficiency: Mandarin proficiency at Level 2-A (or above) in the Putonghua Proficiency Test; basic fluency in a foreign language (e.g., English).
Exams: Pass the CTCSOL written test and interview, covering fundamentals of Chinese teaching, pedagogy, and cross-cultural communication.
