Siru Laine

I thoroughly enjoyed my lesson with Siru. I wanted the opportunity to discuss Finnish grammar at a high level and to better understand how I should approach learning the language. It was really fun to chat with another polyglot and to compare Finnish to other languages. I am looking forward to start learning Finnish and exploring Finnish music.

Siru is consistently a kind and knowledgeable teacher. Today I shared a short translation I had done (English to Esperanto) and she was very helpful & encouraging while reviewing it and giving feedback. Excellent class! :)

Talking to Siru is a real pleasure and we laugh a lot. I can talk to her without inhibitions and that gives me confidence in my Finnish skills.

The teacher was very nice and friendly. The atmosphere was great, and it was a pleasure to talk with her. I would be happy to have another lesson :)

Again a great learning experience. I like that I have the time to formulate sentences and "experiment" to find the correct word endings without feeling stressed. It helps me to realise that I possibly know more than I expected.

Thank you for your interest in my studies and my field of interest. As you most likely noticed, I love talking about archeology and it's a good way to keep me talking Finnish, but I don't want you to get bored. So if you've ever enough of this topic just say so. And let me say, that I enjoy our conversations very much and I felt welcome in your lessons right from the start! It's so motivating to have the feeling to be able to talk fluently. And though I'm sure that I still make enough mistakes, it seems that you can understand what I want to tell and that really makes me happy! So Kiitos paljon!
