Hoi! I’m a certified Dutch and English teacher from the Netherlands, passionate about helping students live a language through culture, conversation, and creativity. My adventures abroad -from teaching in international primary schools to becoming ESL-certified in Peru - taught me how to make learning a language feel like exploring a new country. When I’m not working, you’ll find me drawing, making music, reading or exploring somewhere outdoors. I love everything creative and I'm always collecting inspiration to share in class!지도 경험
I studied to become an international primary school teacher and have my Dutch teaching qualification for primary schools as well. I have taught abroad in international schools for my studies and was also a classroom teacher in a Dutch primary school (grades 2 & 6) for two years after finishing university. There, I also worked on curriculum design for English and IT. After university, I obtained my TEFL certification in Peru, where I realized I love teaching people of all different ages. Finally, I obtained my certification for Dutch as a second language and have spent almost a year teaching my native language to teenagers and adults immigrating into the Netherlands. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I enjoy creating interactive lessons that require the student to think, but mostly ''do''! I believe languages are best learned by being fully immersed in them. Students learn best through realistic situations and by getting a lot of time to talk. I value creating a bond with my students and learning about them as they learn from me, so I'm always looking for new ways to meet your personal learning needs!
In my lessons, I use ''dry'' materials such as coursebooks and worksheets, but I also believe that a variety of learning materials is the best way to immerse oneself in a new language. As I love anything creative, I also use a lot of media, stories, games and visuals!내 수업 자료

Docent Nederlands als Tweede Taal - NHL Stenden - 2025Study included 420 hours of classes around language policy, language education and cultural diversity, as well as 420 hours of teaching in a Nt2-school. I taught half a year at the Internationale Schakelklas (ISK) for young students aged 12-18 immigrating into the Netherlands. This certification allows me to teach Dutch as a second language to people of all ages and had a big focus on cultural diversity and teaching in a multicultural classroom as well.

Classroom TeacherDutch Waldorf Education primary school in which I worked as a classroom teacher for Year 6 and Year 2, a classroom assistant, substitute teacher and as IT coordinator. I designed curricula for English and IT.
2024 - 2025
Dutch language teacherI started working as a Dutch language teacher (docent Nt2) for newly arrived immigrant teens, mostly refugees, arriving in the Netherlands. I worked at the ''Internationale Schakelklas'', where there was also a big focus on social studies and citizenship besides teaching Dutch. I taught students between 12 and 18 years old.

I highly recommend Kyra as an English teacher. She has helped me to improve my fluency in the language while providing feedbacks on my pronunciation and grammar mistakes. I feel much more comfortable (and confident) to speak with natives since I started taking classes with her.
