Hello! I'm Mai😊
I’m a professional Japanese tutor with over 1,500 online lessons (across platforms). I majored in English and linguistics at university and studied abroad in the UK and Germany, so I understand cultural differences between Europe and Japan✨
I’ve loved music since childhood and have played piano, flute, drums, and Caribbean steelpan. As a steelpan player, I performed several times at the Notting Hill Carnival in London. I still play drums and recently enjoy playing Beatles songs with my music friends. If you love music, you’re very welcome!🎶지도 경험
I began my teaching career in 2010, providing English lessons to Japanese learners.
In 2019, I taught Japanese at a senior high school in Taiwan, where I gained valuable classroom teaching experience. After returning to Japan, I transitioned to online teaching, which I continue to focus on today.
Recently, I have been studying law to deepen my knowledge of visas and international marriage. I am also in an international marriage with a British partner and have been living in Japan for many years, so I can offer advice on visas, administrative procedures, and daily life in Japan (⚠️please note that I do not provide application or procedural services). 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I’m patient, friendly, and always supportive. I create personalized materials using Google Docs and Canva, so even complete beginners can join with confidence and no preparation is needed😊
I always answer grammar questions and clearly explain the nuances between similar words. At the same time, my lessons are not like lectures. I include a lot of interactive speaking practice, along with fun activities such as picture descriptions and the use of online tools.
Lessons are conducted in English, but I can also speak German and Chinese👍

Her lessons are really fun, and she helps in English when you don’t understand, so it never feels awkward. Her original materials are also very helpful.
After each lesson, she sends lesson notes and materials, so you can review easily.
