My name is Isabelle, I’m 48 years old and a native French speaker. I studied part of my education in Germany and Sweden, and I was an expat in Japan for three years. I enjoy cooking, eating, traveling, reading and I practice ikebana.

Certified by the Institut Français in Japan in 2019, I teach French online to adults around the world. My lessons are flexible and tailored to each student: serious learning, in a relaxed atmosphere.

Isabelle is a fantastic tutor, full of enthusiasm and interesting anecdotes about French, France, The French and life in general. Each lesson feels more like a light hearted chat over coffee than a lesson. That said my French has improved enormously in the two months I have been taking lessons with Isabelle. Very highly recommended!

J'aime beaucoup les leçons avec Isabelle. Elle est patient et j'aime lui parler.
We talk freely for a while, then focus on a specific subject to practice. She helps me with pronunciation, and if I mess up words, she is knowledgeable and understands what I'm trying to say. The things we talk about and go over, she compiles in a word document that I can study from later. I'm very happy with the lessons so far!
