The best way to start a Monday morning. I must have had 10 teachers on Italki (all of them very good) but Chika is by far the best.

Chika is an energetic, joyful teacher who makes every lesson genuinely fun and engaging. Conversations feel natural and relaxed, which makes it easy to speak and inspires me to use new grammar. What truly sets her apart is how she corrects mistakes. Her corrections are clear, encouraging and motivating. Learning always feels positive. Her wonderful balance of warmth and precision makes her an exceptional language teacher. I always leave her classes feeling more confident. I highly recommend her for Japanese learners of all ages.

Chika-sensei has the qualities of an exceptional teacher. She creates an environment where you are motivated to learn, not afraid to make mistakes, but also praised for your efforts. Her sessions feel less like a lesson and more like chatting with a friend, but you always walk away having learned so much. 10/10 would highly recommend !

Chika San was super helpful! She was asking very good questions to understand my learning goals and also discussing strategies to develop lessons. I am very happy with my teacher and confident that I will develop good Japanese speaking skills.

Chika is such a great teacher! I returned to Japanese after a long break and she helped me recall a lot of what I thought I lost, as well as encouraged me. We discussed my goals for Japanese and a plan of action for our lessons. Chika provides a safe environment to make mistakes and learn from them. I'm looking forward to our future sessions!
