I specialize in teaching intermediate and advanced learners.
In my lessons, we read short articles to expand your vocabulary and expressions, and then engage in in-depth discussions to develop your speaking skills.
If you are serious about improving your Japanese and want to study consistently over the long term, I would love to support you.
Many of my students have been studying with me for 3 to 9 years.
私は中級・上級レベルの学習者への指導を専門としています。
レッスンでは、短い記事を読みながら語彙力や表現力を伸ばし、その後、ディスカッションを通してスピーキング力を高めていきます。
日本語力を本気で伸ばしたい方、そして長期的に継続して学習したい方を全力でサポートします。

Before becoming a Japanese teacher, I taught many students at junior high schools, high schools, and private tutoring schools, so I have extensive teaching experience.
Many of my students have continued taking my lessons for years and have achieved advanced-level conversational skills.
I focus on helping students express what they truly want to say as much as possible.
My lessons are also recommended for those who want to learn natural and correct Japanese.
日本語教師になる前は、中学校や高校、そして塾などで多くの生徒さん達に教えていましたので、経験が豊富（ほうふ）です。 私のレッスンを長年受け続けて上級レベルの会話ができるようになった生徒さんも多いです。私は、生徒さんが出来る限り自分の伝えたいことを伝えられるように、手助けします。

Another fantastic lesson with Chiho-sensei! It's been two weeks since we last met due to my holiday and we caught up on my holiday and spoke a fair amount on what happened during my trip. Chiho-sensei always seemed to express so much interest in whatever you are sharing, and it feels like talking to a friend most of the time~~ Today's lesson was about early birds or the night owls and it's a very interesting topic about the changing dynamics and what factors are affecting these changes. Always looking forward to my lessons with Chiho-sensei as it feels like you're talking to an old friend :)

It's always a great lesson with Chiho-sensei! And she will gradually increase the difficulty and also bringing in past taught items, to refresh you! She'll also gradually give you more chance to speak and introduce new sentences as you go along. You'll notice a considerable improvement after taking lessons with her. Her indirect method of correction and introducing concepts are very useful and makes you remember them in a very fun way, but yet, very effective manner! Today's lesson was about learning from your seniors and it's interesting to see such concepts existing in Japan!
