I've been taking Chinese classes with Lilian on italki for about two months now, and it's been a really great experience. She's super patient and always takes the time to explain things clearly, which really helps me understand the language better. Her classes are also fun and relaxed, so I never feel too stressed even when something is difficult. I’ve definitely improved a lot since I started. Highly recommend her if you're learning Chinese!

Lillian always prepares well before delivering her class. She is enthusiastic and encouraging throughout the lesson and gives me plenty of chances to practice speaking. She is happy to answer any questions I have and integrate them into the lesson. The pace of the lesson is just right- adapting to my grasp of the new topics. I would recommend her lessons to anyone looking for a Mandarin teacher 💯

Another amazing class building on previous knowledge. We started from the basics, and now we’re just expanding on it, adding a little more each class. I’m now able to make relatively complex sentences like what I’m doing, or where an action takes place. The tempo of the class is great, and fits with my abilities and style. Lillian is a great teacher, and knows how to adapt her teaching to students, and comes very prepared to class, making it as engaging as possible. I look forward to continue learning Chinese with Lillian!

It’s only been a few short weeks, and already I feel like I can say a lot in Chinese. Each class is a new unit that’s just the perfect size for beginners with a easy to understand step by step approach. We also get to practice what we saw in previous unit, by reusing those words in the day’s unit. There’s a lot of emphasis on speaking, and with Lillian’s guidance, I’m able to try making new sentences and be creative with Chinese, which I find very helpful.

Another amazing class learning Chinese. Lillian is so encouraging and energetic, that I always leave class motivated to practice Chinese more and more. I feel like I’m able to remember what I’ve learned easily because Lillian makes sure we use it in every class. I highly recommend Lillian for learning Chinese in a fun and very encouraging way!
