I am a friendly teacher with 6+ years of experience teaching adults online and in person. My students describe me as calm, reassuring, and great at explaining confusing concepts. I only teach adults, 18+ years old I am certified in teaching English and IELTS preparation, and I have an academic background in linguistics. I am happy to teach formal English for a job interview, intensive grammar for a university exam, or informal slang to help you make friends in a new city. Or we can just have a chat and learn English along the way! I only teach adults, 18+ years old I think students learn best with a mix of open conversation and structured learning in each lesson. It is very important to me that my students: 1) Become aware of how English speakers REALLY speak (outside of the textbook) 2) Feel each lesson is relevant to their specific goals 3) Are receptive to kind feedback and suggestions If we sound like a good fit, please feel free to book a lesson. Lizzy explains very clearly whenever I make mistakes (word choice, pronunciation, sentence structure). I learn new vocabulary that helps me express myself on a variety of topics. She is patient and makes the lessons enjoyable, which is very important to stay motivated. I am very satisfied with our conversation sessions.
