Hi! My name is Rose and Korean name is HEEWON KIM. I'm from Korea, and now I live in Sydney, Australia. Back in Korea, I lived in a city called Gimpo.
I haven't taught Korean in a formal setting, but I've often helped my international friends learn Korean here in Australia. That's when I realized how many people are actually interested in Korean - and I love being able to help them.
I'm and ESFP, so I really enjoy talking with people and making new friends. I love going for walks, listening to music at the beach, and just relaxing by the ocean. If you're looking for a Korean friend who can help you learn the language in a fun and natural way - that's me!지도 경험
I'm not the type of tutor who gives strict homework or focuses too much on grammar. Instead, I want our lessons to feel like a casual chat between friends. I'm very patient, and I totally understand how challenging learning a new language can be - I've been through it myself while learning English in Australia. My lessons are all about real-life conversations - the kind of Korean you'd actually use with friends, at a cafe, or while watching K-dramas. I like to keep things light and fun, so it doesn't feel like a boring class. We'll focus on speaking naturally, learning useful expressions, and talking about topics you're interested in.

Rose is so fun to talk to - it really is like talking to a friend. I skipped a week because it was my birthday. To my surprise, she created this conversation lesson today around my birthday! I appreciate her preparation for the class. Even though I mess up a lot, she's really patient and provides me the correct way to say things.

My first lesson with Rose was very fun! My goal with her as a teacher was to practice conversation but also to understand how Koreans in Korea would speak vs what is taught in books. Before the lesson she asked me questions about what I like and she structured our conversations around that. We talked about Culinary Class Wars and the KDrama The Glory. I'm excited for my next session!
