I have had two lessons with Hua 老师 so far, and she’s been amazing! She has a clear structure for each lesson, but she’s also 100% flexible and adjusts to whatever and however I prefer to study. She speaks native level Korean as well, and so if you speak Korean and are learning Chinese, this is a MASSIVE benefit and makes learning Chinese much easier, as Korean has much more in common than English. It’s much easier to translate from Korean to Chinese, so being able to switch to Korean with her is so convenient!
Hua老师 is also encouraging, funny, and makes learning feel easy and comfortable. She writes down every word I learned or wanted to know how to say… and that list of words becomes my homework! Great way to stay accountable! Above all, she’s so friendly and energetic, and makes learning Mandarin so fun. 非常感谢老师!

Another great class together - this time for Chinese, in Korean. Two birds, one stone :) We used a mixture of structured lessons she prepared, with free talk. She keeps a GoogleDoc with things that come in our lessons so I can review them and see new vocabulary and grammar that comes up in conversation. Thanks again!
