Hannah Liu

The past couple months we have been working on improving my enunciation. We usually read a news article each class with and without shadowing, and with and without pinyin. Of the 30+ teachers I’ve talked with on italki, she is the most methodical and patient.

I have taken lessons with many different Chinese teachers and I think Hannah is one of the best out there. She always makes sure to only speak Chinese during our lessons so that I get lots of listening practice, and even though my Chinese level is still very low, I never have trouble understanding because she always explains things very well using words I can understand, and is very patient when I need to hear things a second or third time. Our lessons involve a good balance of reading, speaking and listening, working through activities as well as just general conversation practice. I believe I have learned a lot since my first lesson 谢谢你老师 :)

Hannah is the best!

When we practice conversation, I am always grateful that Hannah uses words I learned recently or new words she recently taught me so I can learn in context. She is a great conversationalist and the topics we cover are always interesting. She is always patient when I think of a word and uses Chinese to help me when needed [never English]. 谢谢老师！

刘晶 has a fun approach to teaching - 今天我们一起读了两个篇章，也聊天一下。Slowly learning to be more confident to speak Chinese and lessons are definitely paying off in real life as well..!
