Hi ! My name is Soltana (but my nickname is Tana), and I'm a veterinarian from Algeria. I'm fluent in French, English, and Maghrebi Arabic, and I have a solid grasp of Modern Standard Arabic. I live in the beautiful capital city of Algiers, and my hobbies include reading, arts and crafts, and music.
Salut ! Je m'appelle Soltana (mais vous pouvez m'appeler Tana), et je suis une vétérinaire algérienne. Je parle couramment le français, l'anglais, et l'arabe maghrébin (ou darja). Je possède également des bases solides en arabe standard moderne. J'habite à Alger, et j'aime la musique, la littérature, et les arts plastiques.
As a teacher and community tutor, I get a lot of gratification out of conveying information in accessible ways, and making learning easy and fun for my students! I believe people learn best when they are comfortable and engaged, and will do my very best to make sure my students are at ease and find my lessons interesting. I am very patient, and do not mind meeting you where you are.
Je suis pédagogue et patiente, et en tant qu'enseignante, je tâche d'être aussi compréhensible et clair que possible. A mes yeux, les élèves qui apprennent le mieux sont ceux qui sont à l'aise et intéressés, et j'oeuvre donc pour fournir un environnement propice à cela lors de mes cours.

I recently got C1 in the TCF speaking section (14/20), and I really want to thank Tana here. She is probably my absolute favorite French teacher on italki (well, I feel a little bad saying this because I’ve had so many other amazing tutors who helped me a lot there too, but Tana really is special to me). Talking with her felt like talking to a friend, and I learned so many useful expressions and vocabulary for different topics. She also helped me improve my grammar naturally.
After I failed my first attempt, Tana encouraged me a lot and helped me feel confident again. She told me I could nail it next time, and I actually did on my second attempt! Since I’ve gotten my ideal TCF score, I may take a break from French for a while, but when I have more free time and want to continue improving, I’ll definitely come back to take lessons with Tana again :D

Amazing first lesson! although I'm very beginner, Soltana was very patient with me and helped me when I had difficulty expressing myself. And I've learned many new words as well. I'm so excited and motivated to learn French, thank you so much and see you next time! :)
