My name is Steven, but I prefer to use my middle name which is Jacob. I am a certified 'English as a Second Language' teacher from Illinois in the United States. I went to college in California for two years before switching careers to become an english teacher. I was certified by International Tefl Academy to teach english as a second language. I have spent 4 months teaching english as a second language at my local opportunity center. In my free time I like to paint, crochet, and knit. I am a native english speaker and I also speak spanish. My video is also on youtube from the channel Jacob ESL so that it can be translated to any language.지도 경험
I teach A1 Beginners through C1 advanced students. I offer 3 english classes.
1. Formal English Class:
In my formal english class I teach a lesson and provide assignments, activities, and homework.
2. Informal English Class:
In my informal english class the student brings an article or topic for us to talk about so we can practice speech and vocabulary.
3. Extra Help Class:
In my extra help class I tutor students that need help with essays, books, or assignments they don’t understand. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I work with my students to make sure they understand all of the material before the end of class when I teach at the opportunity center. In addition to my lectures, I offer written lessons that my students take home to study. I do this because I believe repetition is the best way to learn. I have experience teaching english to beginner level, intermediate level, and advanced level students. I use flash cards, pictures, and games to make learning easier.내 수업 자료

TQUK Level 5 Certificate in TEFL - International Tefl Academy - 2026I had to complete 150 hours of course work and 20 hours of practicum work. I have continued over 80 practicum hours which is well past the required 20. I passed all 14 units, achieving a 100%.
