Taki is always so flexible with how I want to learn, and is so open and willing to make adjustments to learning strategy whenever I need them. I am a beginner and finding it difficult to communicate, but Taki’s patience is helping me gain more confidence every time we have a session. I am so appreciative with his willingness to take things slowly :-)

Every lesson with Taki is a pleasure!

I can't begin to Taki’s first lesson was exceptional. He was personable, kind, patient, and genuinely interested in understanding me as a student, my goals, and the reasons I want to learn Japanese. What stood out most was his willingness to meet me where I currently am in my learning journey rather than forcing a rigid teaching style. The lesson felt natural, encouraging, and thoughtfully adapted to my pace and interests. I left feeling motivated, comfortable, and excited to continue learning with him. I highly recommend Taki to anyone looking for a teacher who combines professionalism with warmth and genuine care for his students.

It’s been a while now since I've had Taki as a teacher, and I think he's great! He's transparent and communicates well when it comes to scheduling meetings. If anything ever comes up, he lets me know right away, and he does his best to fix any issues. He facilitates conversation very well. Even when I find myself veering off topic, he'll manage to keep us back on track. He's also a great listener, which is reflected in his notes -- I often find myself taken by surprise by what he remembers haha. I really appreciate how attentive he is to my learning goals, and how intentional he is with helping me to achieve them, which, I feel is reflected in the quality of his notes and in the way he guides our conversations, as mentioned before. Overall, I'd say that he's easy to talk to, you can trust him with your time, and he takes what you have to say seriously.

Taki is very down to earth, patient and encouraging. I’m starting at a very basic level, and he is very good at putting me at ease and helping me get comfortable with practicing speaking. I’m really looking forward to continuing our learning journey!
