Chieko is a really down to earth person and can talk about lots of different topics. She makes lessons fun and can always give me gentle encouragements when I am looking for the right words in Japanese. Even when I'm not feeling 100%, Chieko sensei is always supportive and positive.

Chieko-sensei is really nice and encouraging. She is always open to have me send her topics, questions, or even phrases that I may be wanting to learn for our lessons. Even if I don't send her any specific topic, she is easy to talk to and is a good conversationalist. She gives me a lot of opportunity to speak and let's me try and finish my thoughts before giving me corrections. Her lessons have a good balance of leading questions and opportunities for students to share their opinions. She also shares her ideas and opinions on topics. It is nice to have a teacher be sincere with connecting with students.

Chieko sensei was really friendly and very honest. I really appreciate that she was so open from the get go and I'm excited to take some more lessons with her. She is encouraging and fluent in English so whenever I have issues trying to find a word, she is quick to help me out. I would recommend Chieko sensei for students who want to practice conversation.
