Former university lecturer (UK) with overall 25+ years' teaching experience, trained Goethe examiner I have a strong interest in travelling and language learning. My hobbies span from skiing to hiking, photography and cookery. I have three bilingual children who inspire me and who teach me that learning is truly life-long.
I'm passionate about languages and language teaching. I have 25+ years' teaching experience and have taught adults of all ages and levels (beginner - advanced), as well as children, in several different countries (Poland, England, Italy and Wales). As a university lecturer, I planned courses, devised university exams and carried out Goethe Institut exam testing. I also taught translation groups, and general language and conversation classes. My teaching qualification and my experience have prepared me well for different learners and classroom situations.
I'm a qualified teacher who is approachable, enthusiastic and patient with an excellent track record in preparing Goethe exam candidates.
My aim is to support you with realising your potential. I will provide a stimulating and creative learning environment. We will also look at building and consolidating your grammar knowledge and work together on the Four Skills - speaking, listening, reading and writing. I will set homework to help consolidate lesson material and encourage you to keep a journal in German. All my lessons are tailored around your individual needs and requirements.
