My name is Caleb. I am originally from Oklahoma, USA. I was recently living in Malaysia (where I also learned the Malay language) as a Master's student in English and Linguistic Studies. I just completed my Master's Thesis over a local, minority language (Penang Hokkien). During my undergraduate studies, I earned a BA in English (especially literature and writing) with a minor in Applied Linguistics (ESL). While completing my Bachelor's degree, I was a literacy tutor for both adults and children and an intern for an Honors English class at a high school. In my last year, I was a student ESL teacher at my university for one year. Currently, I teach ESL for Junior High students in Texas.지도 경험
I fell in love with teaching English during my college years. I especially loved teaching English to others as a Second or other language from both ESL and TEFL experiences. During my summer in Indonesia working in an ESL language center, I found a passion to help others acquire language so that they could reach their goals: in job opportunities, studies, or even just making friends. I found a lot of fulfillment once I started helping others achieve their goals throughout my time working in college. It is my goal to help my students achieve their goals on their language learning journey, both long-term and short-term. 내 강의 및 지도 스타일
My lessons will focus on listening and speaking. Listening and speaking will be primarily done through conversational practice. I will choose topics and discuss them with students depending on their level of proficiency (I will also offer to give an assessment for this as well). For beginners, I employ the GPA method to get them started in the language until they are conversational. In all components, I plan to give feedback and tips on how to practice. I also can customize lesson for reading and writing by request.내 수업 자료
