Hello! I'm Tamara. Thanks for clicking on my profile! :) Allow me to share some info about myself: Apart from teaching German online, I'm also a freelance conference interpreter, University lecturer and coach. In 2020 I finished my PhD thesis about the communicative competence in German of Spanish Translation and Interpreting students. In my freetime I like to read all sorts of books, learn about psychology and personal development, spend time with friends and family, do some yoga and play with my dog, Blacky. Since I love being in nature, my favourite sport is hiking! I'm patient, calm, friendly and encouraging. I don't want you to be afraid of making mistakes. It's the only way you can progress. That's why I'll do my best to make you feel comfortable. If you wish to go through and complete a whole level (A1, A2, B1, etc.) I usually work with text books that will provide an organised structure for the course. Here we will cover grammar, vocabulary, speaking, reading, writing and listening. Normally I suggest listening, reading and writing tasks as homework, so that we can focuss on speaking and learning new grammar and vocabulary during the lesson. With students who are not interested in doing a structured course I often use texts, videos o selected grammar exercises to broaden the vocabulary of the student, enhance his or her fluency and improve their grammar. However, I'm always flexible and can easily adapt to your needs and wishes.

Another excellent lesson with Tamara. I enjoyed the focus on speaking exercises, and her lesson notes are really easy to read and complement the textbook material nicely, which effortlessly integrates and reinforces the lesson content. I also enjoy how patient and encouraging Tamara is when I'm having trouble with an exercise. Danke schön Tamara!

Tamara is always so patient and friendly. She has good materials and methods that she has shared with me and which I then use to study on my own. She has been very helpful at answering my questions and providing me with the rules of the language. I started with language apps and it was a bit messy and very gamified, in which you learn how to game the system, but the language is almos secondary. Studying with Tamara has helped me structure the way I am trying to learn German, and has been an essential supplement to the apps I was using (which help me learn some vocabulary) I would definitely recommend Tamara to anyone who is trying to achieve a language goal.
