Hi guys! I'm from Georgia, U.S.A. I was born and raised there. After high school, I joined the Marine Corps. I served 4 years in the Marines. I was stationed in Okinawa, Japan for 3 of those years. When that was done, I went to the University of Guam where I spent my days either in class or at the beach. As you can see, I have spent a long time in Asia and around foreigners. This experience really gave me the passion for meeting foreigners and sharing English with them. I have been in Korea the last 10 years. Even though I study Korean, I am nervous to speak. I know the pressures that come with learning a language. However everything we want is on the other side of fear. This is your class and your English learning experience. I want to tailor the class to your needs and wants. As a language learner myself, I understand the feeling when it comes to speaking the language. A teacher can really make or break that experience. I really focus on making students feel comfortable. That is my main focus. Able to keep the conversation going and keeping it natural is a real skill that takes time to perfect. Also, I try to get a real feel for the student and their interests. When you have an interest in the topic, conversations have a better and more natural flow. This are the two biggest things I focus on. All of this can be applied to all levels of English learning. I'm a big believer in consistency.
