André has been an excellent teacher in professionalising my Portuguese from a medium to an advanced level. His high level of English has assisted with explaining subtilties. His ability to identify errors and train in corrections has helped tremendously. I highly recommend him.

He adapts the classes to your needs, he is fun and entertaining. Whether you are a beginner or want to improve your Portuguese, there is no better teacher.

Classes with André remain challenging and engaging. He gives me ample time to talk, both catching up on life and about specific topics, then circles back to adjust what I said to a more natural way of speaking. We usually allot about 20 minutes to focusing on a topic that I have pre-selected (today, it was common casual expressions). The classes are a balance of speaking, corrections, and fine tuning. He is very focused on usage of Portuguese in day to day life, not formal grammar rules. The balance of Portuguese to English has increased over time, with current class being around 95 percent in Portuguese. He always sends me a transcript of the key phrases we learned (which I then transcribe into flashcards)

I have been learning Portuguese with Andre since last summer, and it's always been great conversation, very helpful. I can read Portuguese with no problem, so I needed help just listening to natural spoken language, and he does that. We just talk about our lives and activities since I moved to Lisbon last August, and he's very helpful. he writes down vocabulary and expressions I need, corrects my mistakes, and if i say something in Spanish or English, he'll tell me how to say it in Portuguese. He's got good energy and enthusiasm, can talk about all kinds of topics, and speaks excellent English when necessary. Highly recommended!

I would highly recommend Andre! He is an amazing teacher who has taught Portuguese over the last few months. I started at A1 and I am b1 headed towards b2. He is an amazing teacher who will help you on your Portuguese journey. He is a professional when it comes to teaching and what I like the most is that he wants you to actually speak the language and focuses that. I couldn’t recommend Andre enough and also couldn’t be more thankful for how much he has taught me and raised my confidence with speaking Portuguese. Very patient, passionate, and just cool.
