I've been studying with Shoko さん for the past three months in preparation for a trip to Japan, and I cannot thank her enough for all the instruction she's provided! I did not have any Japanese experience, yet in just a short period, I feel I've learned so much and received such valuable speaking practice and encouragement from her. I always look forward to lessons and cannot recommend Shoko さん enough. If you want a kind, fun, and hardworking professor, Shoko さん is for you!

Shoko is everything I could have hoped for from a tutor. She listens patiently as I try to put what I've learned into practice, is kind and helpful in correcting mistakes, and truly goes the extra mile both during and after class to make sure my language skills are improving. I've learned so much since we started working together and I'm looking forward to continuing to study together in the new year!

This was my second trial lesson ever on the platform and I absolutely loved it. Shoko-sensei gave me that little bit of confidence that I desperately needed in order to continue this hard learning journey. I came out at least knowing that all the thing's I have done up to this point when it comes to learning Japanese was not in vein. Instead it was meaningful progress that, when correctly triggered, came out in words and sentences that could at the least, be understood. Once again, had a blast of a trial lesson and can't wait to jump into a proper one next.
