I am a professional German as a Foreign Language teacher, but can also teach English. I have two Masters degrees, one from the University of Leipzig, Germany and one from Carthage College in the USA. I have experience teaching all levels of the language(s) and have been teaching for 15 years at the university level.
Ich bin eine professionelle Lehrkraft für Deutsch und kann auch Englisch unterrichten. Ich habe einen Magisterabschluss in Deutsch als Fremdsprache und einen Master in Education und unterrichte auf allen Niveaustufen hauptsächlich an Universitäten.지도 경험
I take a communicative approach to teaching with only small chunks of grammar instruction when necessary to progress and complete communicative tasks. I am flexible in what and how I teach and have no problems to adapt to the preferences or requests of my students.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I like to provide a good balance of speaking and listening activities during my lessons. Most reading and writing is usually done by the learner in preparation for our lessons, and I will give feedback. However, if desired, we can of course practice reading and writing together during our meetings.
I usually teach with a course book as the basis, but have also built a collection of supplemental materials by now that a course book is not imperative.내 수업 자료

Another engaging lesson! Anja uses high-interest materials that are at an appropriate level of difficulty...easy enough for me to understand but difficult enough that the responses require thought and encourage me to grapple with vocabulary and sentence structure. The lesson always goes so quickly!

I can now have telephone conversations, handle business, shopping, and everyday tasks in German. Not perfect German, but thanks to Anja.... i can hold my own and understand most of what people say to me in everyday situations. Thank you :)

Thank you for all the lessons and patience! Thanks to you I went from knowing no German at all to being able to register my daughter for kindergarten, make appointments, arrange play dates with other parents, understand instructions from my children’s karate teacher, and so much more.... all in German! THANK YOU!!!!
