Thank you for visiting my iTalki profile! My name is Lana, and I’m a qualified UK primary school teacher with eight years of experience teaching English as a Foreign Language (EFL) online, after seven years of in-person teaching in language schools and primary schools.
I’ve taught in mainstream UK schools, a highly-regarded preparatory school in London, and an international school in Hong Kong, working with both adults and children. My background as a primary school teacher helps me create structured, engaging lessons to improve your speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills.

I transitioned to online teaching with italki in 2017. Online teaching has given me the flexibility to continue doing what I love whilst balancing family life. 👪

Most of my students start with a trial lesson where we can get to know each other and determine if I’m the right tutor for you or your child. Please message me before the trial lesson so I can plan the best lesson tailored to your needs.
📣 I teach during the English school term-time, which means I don’t teach during English school holidays, such as the two weeks over Easter, two weeks over Christmas, and the month of August.
I have 16 years of teaching experience, including:
2 years teaching in English primary schools.
8 years teaching online.
2 years as an English teacher in an international school in Hong Kong.

Lana is the best teacher I’ve found on italki! With her early education background and experience teaching in top schools in the UK, Hong Kong, and Japan, she combines a perfect British accent, a naturally warm and clear voice, and genuine patience and love for children.

Lana is an excellent teacher. It has already been five years since my daughter started having classes with her. She has always been kind, attentive and sensitive with my daughter. We were very lucky to find her. Regarding her teaching abilities, it couldn't be better. In addition to being a professional teacher, she is always worried about finding interesting subjects for her students: things that they want to talk about or have an interest in to learn more about.

Lana is our kid's teacher for months now and I can confidently say that our daughter (6y) loves her. She keeps asking for longer lessons. Lana combines teaching English with the primary school curriculum so it is 2 birds with one stone.
