I am a professional language teacher with over 15 years of experience in teaching German as a foreign/second language. My educational background is in the German language, literature, and linguistics. Before becoming a professional German language teacher, I worked as a literary translator and interpreter. I also studied music (classical piano and music theory).
Whether you are just starting out or would like to learn German for work, study, research, travel, or simply socializing with your friends and family, working together, we can identify your language skills and create a program that will help you achieve your language goals.지도 경험
As a life-long language learner myself, I know learning a new language is a challenging journey, requiring a different rhythm and dynamic based on your individual needs and learning styles.
That's why I created different courses to assist you in every step of your German learning journey.
I speak four languages, and I’m currently learning the fifth one. My experience in learning languages has a significant impact on my teaching style – I know what works and what doesn’t.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I offer general language courses (A1 – C2) and specialized lessons with a focus on conversation, vocabulary practice, grammar review, reading, writing, test preparation (Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, telc, etc.), and application training.
I strongly believe that communication is key to learning languages. I, therefore, adopt a communicative and intercultural approach to language learning that integrates the teaching and practice of grammar.
It would be a great honour and pleasure for me to assist you in acquiring any necessary language skills you need to succeed in a German-speaking environment.

I've been learning German with Diana for 2.5 years now, and I was able to improve my German from a low B1 to C1/C2 with her incredible help. She has provided me with a lot of helpful feedback with my writing and speaking, and she would provide me with extra grammar practice if she spots any weak spot with my writing - if you are prepared to work hard and do your homework, you will get so much out of her lessons. She is incredibly knowledgeable in the German language and literature, as well as German culture and history, and that's incredibly helpful at C2 level, because the topics are so wide-ranging and often require a good understanding of German society and the world. Also, she has been very encouraging and reassuring when I was freaking out with exam prep, and gave me a lot of useful tips. I highly recommend Diana to anyone who wants to take their German skills to the next level.

Diana can prepare the classes according the demands of the student. Besides of the expected good knowledge of grammar and vocabulary, she enjoys bringing other resources to the classes - such as piece of Literature and movies discussions. The corrections of texts that she does via email are also very helpful.

Leider war ich beschäftigt und unterwegs, sodass ich eine „Auszeit“ von italki nehmen musste, aber heute bin ich mit einem Essay zurück, um das Versäumte nachzuholen. Nach einem Besuch in den USA gab es viel zu erzählen, aber auch in Großbritannien gab es einige knifflige Fragen, vor allem die Debatte über einen Parlamentsvorschlag zur medizinischen Sterbehilfe, wie sie in Kanada und einigen anderen Ländern bereits existiert. Ich hatte auch das Glück, einer Diskussion mit Daniel Kehlmann beizuwohnen und freue mich schon darauf, sein neues Buch „Lichtspiel“ zu lesen. Vielen Dank für die Diskussion.
