Bonjour :) I'm a native French speaker living in France, and I'm also fully fluent in English. I teach from beginner all the way up to advanced level. We can have engaging conversations on a wide variety of topics, have more structured lessons or focus on a particular area depending on your needs.

In our safe learning environment, not only are mistakes permitted, they're necessary: my job is to identify them and to build our lessons around learning from them. For that, you need to be both encouraged and challenged just the right amount. How convenient would it be if there were a universal recipe for a perfect lesson, right? Instead, every student is unique. I'll quickly identify your needs and shape our individual lessons accordingly, depending on factors such as your level, goals, areas of focus (if any), your experience in learning foreign languages, or even your confidence.
You can expect 2 major things from our lessons: first, a good study environment where you feel comfortable and encouraged — that's absolutely essential to thrive in your language learning journey. Secondly, well-timed corrections and insightful comments and explanations to help you improve significantly.

Martin is amazing! I am learning French as an absolute beginner with no passive knowledge of the language. He has helped me feel very comfortable getting started. He's so flexible in presenting information in the ways that I learn best, answering my questions, and even helping me understand new words or sentence structure based on my English or Spanish knowledge. I feel like he really pays attention to me and intuitively understands how best to teach me with an individualized approach. He is very prepared for classes including creating homework tailored exactly for me that includes a lot of different ways of reviewing the information. I have already learned a ton in just three lessons. I can tell that my skills will grow very quickly with his help. In general, he's super nice, patient, supportive, and really fun. I highly recommend taking classes with Martin!

I'm grateful to have found such a skilled and dedicated teacher. Martin has been supportive and encouraging from the start, and he's still as attentive as he was when we had our first lesson together. He's an inspiration for me when it comes to language learning as he's a passionate language learner himself with an impressive knowledge of grammar and orthography. Lessons with him are motivating and helpful, as he's taking a lot of notes and providing me with corrections, and I always leave my computer with a smile after our lessons. After three full classes with Martin, I have to say I have finally found the ideal tutor for me, after searching online and offline and having tried several different tutors. Martin demonstrates everything he mentioned in his video. He really does customize your classes for you. And he spends time preparing the class based on my needs, correcting my writings and answering my questions. His classes are truly great worth of value. Thanks to Martin’s help, I find myself more motivated in learning and good progress in pronunciation. He is really encouraging, patient and attentive the whole time in class. Thanks again Martin.
