My name is Ivana, and I come from Sardinia, a beautiful island in the Mediterranean. However, I live in Rome, where I have been working for several years for a large company. I have also been teaching Italian for over 5 years.
I have a degree in Foreign Languages and Literatures, a Master's in Human Resources Management and Administration, and a CEDILS certification for teaching Italian to foreigners.
My passions include music, books, but most of all, traveling. I am very curious and love talking to people from all nationalities.
Sono un'insegnante solare ed entusiasta. Mi piace trasmettere la passione per la mia cultura e la mia lingua, ma al centro delle mie lezioni c'è lo studente con la sua voglia di conoscere e di imparare.
Proprio per questo, durante le nostre conversazioni avrai modo di parlare liberamente, di qualsiasi argomento, senza sentirti giudicato e, in breve tempo, comincerai a sentirti più sicuro nel parlare in italiano.
My lessons are designed for students of all levels and are personalized based on your goals.
If you are a beginner (A1/A2), in addition to grammar and vocabulary, I will help you quickly communicate in real-life situations.
If you have an intermediate level (B1/B2), we will focus on fluency and expanding your vocabulary.
If you have an advanced level (C1/C2), I will help you speak like a true Italian, using idiomatic expressions and exploring regional variations together.

Ivana is an incredible teacher. I recently realized that she and I have been working together for over 2 years. She has taken me from a true beginner with little to know knowledge of the Italian language, through vocabulary, grammar, idiomatic phrases all the way to today when we can converse for an hour and have an instructive and entertaining lesson. She is patient and knowledgeable. Friendly but serious about each lesson. She is a teacher of exceptional instructional skills. A true professional. Thanks for all your support.

I need practice in conversational Italian and chiacchierando with Ivana gave me confidence in a comfortable and relaxed setting as stated in her profile. Just two friends chatting. She corrected me when I needed it but without the teacher / student dynamic. I enjoyed learning this way, without pressure. Highly recommend it
