Born in Portugal and raised in Swaziland, I’m a passionate linguist with 30+ years teaching Portuguese and English across cultures. My Honours degree in Modern European Languages and postgraduate diploma fuel my love for helping students—from beginners to advanced—master language skills. As a Portuguese examiner and university tutor, I’ve guided learners from Taiwan to Italy, adapting lessons to their goals. Whether you’re preparing for exams, business, or travel, I make language learning engaging with tailored materials. PLEASE NOTE: I have added NEW TIME SLOTS during the day. I've been teaching Portuguese and English to children and adults since 1992. I'm very patient. I've been tutoring Portuguese at the local university since 2009. I've also been a Portuguese examiner/moderator at a South African university since 2013. Privately, I tutor students from Taiwan, China, Ireland, Italy and other countries, and of course, Eswatini (Swaziland). I presented a beginner's course in Portuguese over a 6 month period to the management staff of a prominent company in Swaziland and am currently teaching another similar course elsewhere. I edit documents. I do translations from Portuguese to English and vice versa.

내 강의 및 지도 스타일

My lessons, both Portuguese and English, can be structured or more informal. I use several textbooks and adapt my lessons to the needs and objectives of my students. It's very satisfying to see students learning and improving their command of the language they are studying, so I try to make the lessons enjoyable and interesting. I recommend material that I use, or online material, as the opportunity arises. I encourage the student to attain his/her potential. It's important that students are on time for class. If they cannot attend, they need to inform me 24 hours in advance, or as soon as possible.
