I love talking about all sorts of things, including travel, sports (especially rugby, football and cricket), current affairs and politics, and everything that's going on in the world. I'm married with two grown-up daughters, and I enjoy living in Bristol in the southwest of England. I'm a member of a local church, and in fact I used to work for a church.지도 경험
What makes me a great teacher for you?
One: I have a wide educational background, includings a PhD in physics and an MPhil in theology - an unusual combination, especially for an English teacher! So I can help you with just about any subject you like - including interview preparation.
Two: I hold the CELTA qualification from a brilliant school, International House in Bristol. I've also trained in preparing students for the OET test. I have an excellent and accurate knowledge of the English language.
Three: I have taught at many levels, both in the classroom and one-to-one. I have the experience you need.

I like teaching in an interactive way, and I will always adapt my style and methods to the student. I think that's really important. I'll use whatever topics you are interested in.

I also studied Hebrew and New Testament Greek at a high level, along with the interaction between science and Christian belief.

I had the pleasure to enjoy our lessons with Steve during the past month of my preparation for OET. And I am so happy that I found these lessons. Steve is one of the most responsible and reliable persons that I've ever met. And believe me, you want to have this kind of teacher, especially when preparing for such an important exam. He has outstanding knowledge in medical English, general grammar, pronunciation, and most importantly, he knows the specifics of the OET. At every lesson, I received valuable feedback, and he always proposed ways for improvement. It gave me a good understanding of my weaknesses and made me more confident. If it hadn’t been for your (always challenging, but very target-oriented and useful) lessons, I still wouldn‘t feel ready to „tackle“ the CPE speaking exam. Thanks to you I‘m ready to take the bull by the horns now and I feel like I‘ll be able to handle whatever strange speaking topic they may come up with. I've been working with Steve for almost one year now and I never get bored or tired of our classes.
His positive and friendly attitude made conversations with him pleasant and comfortable, and his perfect listening skills enabled me to speak a lot and improve my fluency. While listening to me he collected probably all my mistakes in non-intrusive way and surprised me afterwards with very detailed and valuable feedback. When we discussed grammar points, his explanations were really helpful, structured and well-thought. Regardless of the topic or the format of the lesson I always recieved a lot of value from it.
Even though I'm making a break for now, I hope to continue with Steve after some time, since he is one of the best language teachers I met.
