I am a fully qualified English language teacher from the UK (CertTESOL, MSc Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching from the University of Oxford). I have 7 years of professional experience working online for myself, language schools and, most recently, the University of Manchester.
I am passionate about helping people improve their language skills and find their own voice in English in a supportive, patient, environment.
I specialise in working with intermediate and advanced students to improve speaking skills, for both everyday and formal contexts (professional and academic).지도 경험
As a teacher, I prioritise creating a supportive, patient, environment for learning. I am here to encourage and help you in your language learning journey, as I know what a long and challenging process it can be!
Two other features that characterise me as a teacher are related to my academic background. With a BSc in Anthropology, I am passionate about learning about different cultures and sharing my own knowledge about British culture. My recently completed MSc in Applied Linguistics for Language Teaching has also helped bring me up to date with the latest academic research in the field of second language acquisition, and apply this knowledge in my own teaching.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
It is very important to me to create a very interactive environment, where you are the one doing most of the speaking. I also like to create a relaxed, supportive environment for classes where we embrace mistakes as part of the learning process, rather than something to fear!
My teaching style is based on creating highly personalised, student-centred classes, respecting your goals, interests, and needs. I believe that we learn best when we focus on subject matter that is relevant and engaging for us, and I like to give you the opportunity to shape our class focus and style as much as possible.내 수업 자료

Freelance English language teacherI currently work as a freelance English language teacher and am passionate about helping my students improve their language skills in a patient, supportive environment.
I work with adults, giving one-to-one or small group classes. I focus on a student-centred approach to teaching, with highly personalised, interactive classes. I specialise in teaching speaking and pronunciation for upper-intermediate and advanced students.

Researcher and translatorI worked as a researcher and translator at the Universidad de Granada, within the EU H2020 project PERCEPTIONS. The project researched how migrants or potential migrants see Europe, and involved interviews, focus groups, and surveys with migrants and first-line practitioners.

Benen is such a kind, bright, and committed teacher. She makes you feel at home from the first moment, and she is a great listener too: she listens to you as a person and not just a student.
