I have 15 years of experience teaching English to all ages, all levels, all around the world!
As an International School Principal, I’ve guided countless children to fluency (even the shy ones!).
I can get a great conversation out of anyone at any level!
When not teaching, I’m lifting weights, studying Japanese (JLPT N2), or chasing my 6-year-old around! Let’s make learning as fun as we can and effectively—your way.
I am a natural conversationalist so I can make a conversation with anybody, whether new to English or native level. It is all about catering to you!
With my experience being an International School Principal I have help lots of children reach very high levels of English. I am naturally good with kids and can get even the shyest kid speaking.
Since I can speak Japanese and can understand Chinese, I can help you slowly get used to English using multiple languages if you need.
I have taught many many types of students with many different personalities with English of different levels. All students are different and I understand that, so I will help you and teach you, the way you want to be taught. In addition, I am also the Principal of an International School where kids 1-12 can come. I have been the principal for 5 years (since April 2020) and part of my job is to train English teachers how to teach children.
I have also taught over 6000 lessons on iTalki, with over 2000 of them being for kids (beginner English, kids English as well as people who sneakily choose free conversation for kids)

Jake is the most artistic and heartistic teacher I have ever met!!! He deserves more than five stars! This teacher is preparing my students for IELTS speaking currently. He is extremely patient,with a brilliant sense of humor , the atmosphere in the class is relaxed, and he makes my students feel comfortable.
