He's firm when it comes to having the right approach to lessons and study, because he's truly committed to my success, but gentle when I feel nervous or overwhelmed and helps me simplify the process and focus on the right things when it feels like too much. Every lesson feels like comfortably talking to a friend, yet he interjects new grammar patterns and vocabulary, as well as reinforcement of everything we learn, seamlessly. I have been having lessons with Shinne for a year now. Shinnie is patient, respectful and passionate about his students learning. When I thought I wasn’t progressing he showed me how much I have learned and helped restore my confidence. Shinnie has taught me how to study successfully again using his proven methods and my self-confidence has grown. I know Shinnnie teaches people with ADHD, stuttering, mental illnesses, and disabilities as I have some of these conditions. However, he has never discriminated against me and has been truly dedicated to my Korean learning. I have tried learning with other Korean teachers who have given me false compliments which I did not find productive. Shinnie has helpfully pointed out attitudes or habits that have hindered my progress and he is always honest about my skills and goals. You can trust him and just follow his guidance—without overthinking or false delusions. Shinnie is an excellent, top rate teacher. If I can do it, you can too.

Today was my sixth lesson with Shinnie and I'm very surprised by the progress we've already made using his teaching method. Before I started working with Shinnie, I had very little experience with Korean and wasn't sure if I could ever learn enough to hold conversations with a native speaker. His approach to teaching is very thorough and patient, and pushed me to speak way more Korean than I thought I was able to. A lot of the work comes from practicing conjugations and making sentences in your free time, but Shinnie's resources and teaching style allows me to understand and practice new grammar tools quickly and effectively. I leave every class feeling as though I'm gaining confidence and making progress. He's a great teacher that cares a lot about my progress and I'm confident I will only get better working with him.

시니 is good at helping me to easily conjugate during the lessons. He explains things in a basic way for me to understand. I enjoy the lessons. Thank you.

This was a great trial lesson! I struggle with conjugation and was able to learn useful rules for verbs and adjectives. After the lesson I got a pdf of what we worked on and I have things I can practice before the next lesson.
