I’m Emy, a native speaker of Indonesian and Javanese, and a French literature graduate. I have over 10 years of teaching experience, both in person and online, working with students from around the world. I’m also a freelance writer and translator based between Java and Bali.

Emy gave me the floor to speak and this is great. I did an experiment called ALG (or Automatic Language Growth) and essentially that's when you consume content in your target language by watching and listening, without looking up words or subtitles. I was able to express myself quite decently and she asked me interesting questions about language learning, being a polyglot and just overall life experiences. She corrected at the end which was something that I need, so that way I didn't lose focus during mid-speech. Terimah Kasih Bu! Semoga kita bertemu lagi di masa depan!
