My name is Kelli Cruz. I come from Mexican roots and I was born outside of Denver, Colorado, USA. I love to learn, travel, and experience new things. I have lived many places in my life (Peru, Mexico, Ireland, Germany, China). I have many connections to the Chinese culture, as my part of my family is Chinese.
I too am a language student: I am always improving my English, and I am currently learning German and Spanish. I love learning learning about other cultures and meeting new people, especially when cooking is involved.
Also, I am proud to be working towards my Masters in Political Science and Philosophy at the Technische Universität Dortmund, in Germany.지도 경험
I have been a teacher/private tutor for over 10 years. I like to use context based learning - this means that we bring in daily interests and hobbies into the classroom. I have focused on many different areas of English in my Career, so tailoring a class to your needs won't be a problem.
I have had plenty of experience in writing - both academic and business. I have been a pronunciation coach in both Spanish and English. I have done literary analysis with high school students (nothing at the university level). I have taught at companies, in classrooms, and as a private tutor. No matter what your English goals may be, we can find a course plan that will focus on what you want to learn.내 강의 및 지도 스타일
I am a positive and optimistic teacher. I like to use our class time to go over homework and teach/reteach areas that could be stronger. I also use class time to explain grammar (if that is your goal). Class time is mainly about answering questions and learning new material. I like homework, and it is absolutely necessary. Unless is a you are attending class more than 3 times a week, you are not practicing your language enough. Many experts recommend daily contact with the language. Since we cannot meet every day, it is important to dedicate a set amount of time each week for homework: watching TV/News, reading, writing, speaking, practicing grammar, etc.내 수업 자료

2011 - 2014
TutorI was a language and subject specific tutor for high-school and college students. I tutored Spanish language pronunciation and basic grammar, writing techniques and editing, and several college classes I had already taken (including but not limited to: physical and human geography, intro to political science, Latin American cultures, communication, algebra, etc). I was able to arrange my work schedule around my class schedule.
2014 - 2015
VariousI worked in various positions in a Cafe. I was a prep cook, line cook, server, barista, etc. I was offered a position in management until they found out my intentions to study abroad the next year. Then it wasn't worth their time to train me as manager and they retracted their offer. I was given a raise after 6 months due to high performance.
2017 - 2019
English TeacherI teach English for this company. My classes include but are not limited to: Business English for companies and individuals; English writing, reading, and speaking training for individuals; TESOL test prep for individuals; Standard English grammar from A1-C1 for companies and individuals. I have had to learn to adapt my classes and course material to the individuals needs.
2019 - 2019
EnglishI am a freelance worker for projects and tasks that have anything to do with English. I give private lessons to high-school students, business people, doctors, accountants, retirees, etc. I write content for websites, emails, presentations, letters, etc. I edit and revise anything my clients need. If it has to do with english teaching, writing, editing, or translating (occasionally), I am available to do it.
