Hello, I'm Maria, I have dual nationality (Greek and British) and my accent is Neutral British.
I have a degree in TESOL (Teaching of English for Speakers of Other Languages) from a UK university and a CELTA certificate. Teaching English as a foreign language is not just a profession for me, but a vocation! There is immense job satisfaction knowing that you facilitated someone's understanding and that you have re-assured them that it's ok to make mistakes and that it is part of the process of learning a foreign language.지도 경험
I have over 1000 hours of experience teaching English online. A lot of those hours were geared to enable learners to practise their speaking. Speaking is one of four skills that is quite hard to practise on your own. You can work a lot on your own on the other 3 skills: Reading, Listening and Writing but it is best to practise speaking with someone else and it's ok to make mistakes! I consider my teaching style to be a hybrid between a facilitator and a delegator. I use the communicative approach and I pay attention to the ratio of STT (Student Talking Time) and TTT (Teacher Talking Time).
While speaking together, even from the first trial lesson, I will make notes and give you feedback on the steps to take in order to improve your English. I look forward to meeting you and discussing various topics that will help you learn new vocabulary and expressions in English :)내 수업 자료
