My name is Serena, I‘m a native Mandarin speaker from Chonqing, China, I am a CTCSOL (Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Language) qualified teacher and my Mandarin pronunciation is excellent (Grade A).
I have taught Chinese as a second language online for more than 2000 hours. I am very passionate to teach Mandarin to different nationalities and knowing more about their cultures.
I also make teaching videos and post on Instagram(chinesewithserena) regularly. I'm glad to help you succeed in all difficulties you'll come across in learning Chinese.지도 경험
Since 2019, I ‘ve taught group classes, private classes, and the age of my students is mostly from 20’s to 60’s. They are from different countries, such as America, UK, India, Serbia, Ukraine, South Africa, Mexico, Iran, etc.
They strongly approve of me,80% of my current students are introduced by my old students, most of my private students have been learning with me for more than one year.

Before our class, I will contact you, spend some time to know your current level, your purpose, and your goals，and decide which book we will start with. So our trial lesson will be like a regular lesson.
In the class, I like to make my lesson practical. I will make useful conversations based on particular situations. I will add something related to your work or your particular need, I encourage you to speak Chinese as much as possible. Currently, I provide HSK courses，conversational Chinese，Business Chinese，customized Chinese
After class, I will provide you with a textbook in pdf format, audio materials, and homework for you to do. I will correct your homework once you send it back to me.내 수업 자료

Serena is a fun teacher. She will ask me questions before class to prepare and then I answer those prompts, but we go into greater detail in the answers than what I prepare. It's always very interesting.

Serena was so patient and helpful in class. I really like that she would write down what I was saying and then correct my language in her writing to help me understand the mistakes I was making such that my conversation could be more natural moving forward. She then sent me the document she was working on and using throughout class, so I could go back and practice the new words and structures I learned in class.
She was very helpful as an instructor of conversation and I will definitely book her again to that end.

Serena contacted me right away to find out what my goals were before our first class. She was very well prepared for our first lesson. I did not know what level I am in HSK so we reviewed HSK 1. She went straight into the review. I am surprised at how much she was able to cover in a short time. It was fast paced and intense but it kept my attention. She sent me the material we reviewed at the end of the lesson. Thank you!
