Beginners with Genki 1 & Genki 2 are welcome. I was born and raised in Kobe, Japan. Now, I am residing in Tokyo. In 2019, I transitioned from my day job to become a full time Japanese language teacher. In University, I had dreams of living abroad, and so I finally fulfilled my goal at the age of 38. I moved to Los Angeles, California, with my family and lived there for 5 years. I have fond memories of that time. My hobbies include: fishing, watching boxing and martial arts, learning new magic tricks, and traveling.

Beginners with Genki 1 & Genki 2 are welcome. As I reflect back on the various occupations I’ve had, I see a common ground in all of them; a teacher. I have taught English in Prep Schools, I was a Christian Pastor teaching the Bible in churches, I was a communication skills trainer at the mentally handicapped training center and now I am a Japanese language teacher for foreigners and missionaries. The greatest joy as a teacher is to share the moment with the student when the unknown becomes known and understood. There is joy in understanding intellectually with the mind, as well as the excitement of understanding with the heart. I teach with Genki 1 for beginners and Genki 2.

Beginners with Genki 1 & Genki 2 are welcome. As a language teacher I have found real satisfaction when my students tell me, “I was able to communicate my thoughts and feelings to the other person and they understood”, that brings the greatest satisfaction to the student and the teacher. This is why I put the greatest emphasis in my lessons to teach you how to reply in the best way according to each circumstance. And l will go in depth and explain to you the vocabulary and grammar that will be encountered in real life situations. Every lesson will be catered to your individual levels, I will use the knowledge I have gained over my lifetime to create the most effective lesson.
