Rena is super friendly and adjusts her teaching style and speed to your comprehension level. Has custom Quizlet's premade, and has a white board to show you the differences in hiragana, katakana, and kanji. If you speak English, Spanish, Japanese, or Russian, she can help you learn an alternative language. My experience with Rena has been nothing short of spectacular.

Ms Rena is the most understanding, patient, and even more importantly, she is a very empathetic teacher. My daughter has been having lesson with her for over a year, Ms Rena has ALWAYS been professional yet supportive. My daughter speaks fluent Japanese now, thanks to Ms Rena!

Rena has been a fantastic teacher! She gently encourages speaking as much as possible, and her materials are very easy to read and review. Rena has taken an interest in my life outside of our lessons, and uses it to ask questions and learn more Japanese that is relevant to me.
