Since graduating from university in 2019, I have built a rewarding career in the field of education, specializing in language instruction. Over the past seven years, I’ve had the privilege of teaching both Portuguese and English to a diverse range of students across various educational settings.
My experience includes in-person teaching in public and private schools throughout Rio de Janeiro, as well as online instruction—teaching Portuguese to foreign learners and English to Brazilian students. These opportunities have allowed me to grow both professionally and personally. I have been taking lessons for quite some time with Jefferson, and I can say that he is an excellent teacher; as well as a kind and genuine human being. His approach as a teacher, that is to say, the methods, and materials that he uses, are carefully selected in accordance to your needs as student, regardless of the level of understanding you already might have in the language. In addition, he is a good listener, one who is willing to collaborate with the learner to bring out the student's interests and precise needs. Accordingly, he will integrate these particular needs and interests that the student has into his lessons, thereby making each lesson with Jefferson all the more enriching. I know I will continue to rely on Jefferson as a cornerstone teacher and guide in my Portuguese learning journey.

I really enjoy my lessons with Jefferson. He is very patient and gives me space to find the right words before jumping in to correct, which really helps my brain process the language. He corrects my mistakes gently and focuses a lot on conversation. I feel like I’m improving with every class
